as the director and teacher of a small non-profit preschool for most of my adult years, my greatest passion is saving the dignity of each child. i am surrounded by support of our church community who claims this as their ministry.
i was invited to direct and teach a summer day care program here at new creation fellowship church as part of bethel college’s ministry inquiry program. i went back to bethel college in fall of 1994 and finished my degree in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood education. after graduation, i was invited to begin a school year preschool program here at new creation fellowship church. after hours of discernment as a church community, many times around the circle sharing, hesitations expressed, in fall of 1995 we began new creation preschool.
i am determined to provide a rich environment for children to explore, discover and create in. i remain inspired and humbled by the energy that young children bring.

this is where i record the moments of our family’s life here on the prairie. we are a family of five people…one dog…one cat…two rabbits buried in the backyard…one rabbit living in the house…a dozen hamsters and snake hiding out in the study…committed to hope and faith, love and joy…clinging to the mystery of peace that christ has to offer…tucked in a small town…working to remember the wider world…longing to be grateful in our days and our daze that is life.
